Mount Edith Road is situated on the tablelands on the east side of Tinaroo Dam. Access to Mount Edith's eastern road entrance is on Boar Pocket Road, just near the top of the Gillies Highway, from hear you can follow the road all the way onto Mount Edith road. Once on Boar pocket road, you will come up to a information shelter, a couple of 100m past this the road splits, where you can continue left onto Mount Edith road or take a one-way detour along the Gillies Lookout Track, the track passes through private property so be sure to leave all gates as you find them if they are closed remember to close them behind you.

Go back to the split in the road turn right and continue back along Mount Edith road, along the way there are a various sites to see and walks to do including, the chimneys day use after World War I, land in the Danbulla area was offered to returned
soldiers for clearing and farming, Mobo Creek crater & Lake Euramoo circuit.
After traveling about 26.5km from the road split at the Gillies Lookout Track a small stream most likely empty runs down on your left here you are able to pull over on the left where the walk to Mount Edith Falls begin, I should probably let you know now there is no official walking track, on the day we saw two Red Bellied Black Snakes & encountered a stinging nettle tree so keep your eyes peeled to avoid these dangers.
The gully/dried out creek runs down the mountain, you are able to follow the dried out creek bed easily all the way to the falls, the walk is only 600m long following the dried up creek to the falls.
Heading along Mount Edith road you can continue onto Tinaroo Creek Road which will take you back to the Kennedy Highway just outside of Mareeba, or just before you get to the Kennedy Highway you can turn right onto Cobra Road which takes you to Emerald Creek Falls.
