Peet's Falls are located in the Goldsborough Valley situated about 30mins out of Cairns on your way to the Gillies Highway. To get to the start of this walk head along the Gillies Highway when you get to Peet's Bridge cross there will be signs pointing towards Goldsborough Valley Camp Grounds, about 400m after passing the bridge there will be a narrow road on your left called Downing Road, take this left and continue to follow the road, you will go over a causeway as the road swings to the right, from here continue driving past the farmers house, from here you will go over a seconds causeway and from just after this I believe it may go to private property so drive respectably. Follow the gravel/dirt that stays closest to the rain forest, in the corner of the cane paddock are some rocks and lots of pink ribbon to identify the start of the walk.
The walk itself is extremely easy and just over 2km to the top falls, the track is well used and stands out, the majority of the track has also been well marked with pink ribbon. The last 150m you walk up along the creek to the falls.
Unfortunately there is no track to get around or climb to the top of these falls that I could see, I climbed up the first and second section on the right hand side before crossing the waterfall and climbing up the rest on the left side.
Once on the top you are able to look down the valley as the cool breeze blows along.
