Isabella Falls

Isabella Falls located in Edmonton has remained hidden from the masses nestled up in the mountains. Only a 20min drive from Cairns CBD if that to Edmonton, take the right at the lights down Mill Rd. Follow Mill Rd until Walker Rd (first set of lights with Mcdonalds) and take this left, once on this road follow it all the way to Waterfall Cl, you can park at the end where you will see a sign saying pathway. This is the entry for the walk to the falls.
The walk to the falls is about 500m, a dirt path will take you to them which leaves the side of the creek as you travel slightly into the bush along a path before popping out right in front. Sticking along the creek are small pools you can swim in. To climb the waterfalls head up the left hand side along the rocks, you are able to pretty easily climb up as there are plenty of hand and foot holds along the way, towards the very top it gets a little trickier but there are plenty of vines to grab on, even right at the very top there is some rope to grab onto as you head up the creek into the mountain for the final climb.

I followed the creek and came across a few nice waterfalls, at one stage I had to venture off up into the mountain to pass a waterfall/cliff and fallen trees, at this stage I continued to venture up into the mountain not along the creek. There is what would seem to be lots of paths but as I found out these are just well used pig trails as I saw a few families of pigs run off when they saw me. I then traveled back to the creek and followed it till I came to these spectacular falls with an old fallen tree growing up to the top before heading back.

Start of Isabella Falls, my walk off into the bush then back along the creek and back.
