Kahlpahlim Rock stands as the highest point on the Lamb Range. The walk has two trails that merge before the final climb to the top, the Ridge Trail (9.2km return) and the Rock Trail (10.8km return).
I took the Rock Trail at 4am which is the path of the old loggers track and not for those who aren't moderately fit. The trail starts off easily as you walk along next to the creek providing a cool breeze. You cross the creek several times until you get to an extremely steep incline, that rises about 70m over a 200m distance that is sure to get the heart pumping and the calves burning. The trail continues to steadily rise until it flattens out just before meeting up with the Ridge Trail.
This is just a quick edit thrown together to show the amazing surround views you get from on top.
